Help Sustain the CMC

The Community Meditation Center

is sustained by the generosity of our community.

The Buddha taught out of his own generosity and compassion for all beings. In appreciation, those who received the teachings donated food, clothing, and medicine. That was the beginning of the reciprocal relationship between teachers and students in this tradition.

Today, the Community Meditation Center carries on the tradition of dana (“generosity” or “giving freely”) by offering the Buddhadharma without charging a required fee, so that no one is ever turned away for lack of funds. Instead, each practitioner is invited to donate an amount that feels right to them, knowing that their contribution helps sustain CMC’s teachers and the organization’s longterm sustainability.

CMC is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN 02-0689711).
